26th Annual Creativity Festivity – Children’s Voices

Durango’s annual Creativity Festivity celebration launched in 1992, modeled after the Kennedy Centers’ Imagination Celebration.  It was a one-week event showcasing student artwork at the Durango Arts Center, which was then housed on the second floor of the Main Mall.

Throughout the three-week celebration, DAC hosts events and opportunities for local youth to share their work with the greater arts community in Durango.  Activities during Creativity Festivity include an exhibit featuring work of K-12 grade students in the Barbara Conrad Gallery, Durango High School’s beloved annual poetry slam and a special youth theater production
