Volunteer

Join in the fun and serve as a volunteer at the Durango Arts Center!

There are a variety of activities and programs, hours of service and days of the week that are the perfect combination for you and DAC.  Help out at one of our fundraising events; greet visitors to the Barbara Conrad Gallery; lend your expertise to installing an exhibition; or provide much needed administrative support for day-to-day functions.

DAC welcomes individuals who value the mission of the DAC. Each year, more than 100 volunteers contribute an estimated 4,500 hours to DAC’s general operations and programming. Sometimes volunteers contribute on a one-time basis, while other “lifers” have contributed to DAC for the breadth of its 40 year existence.

There are many benefits to volunteering:

  • We are a community-service organization, and we provide an opportunity for you to use your skills, talents and experience;
  • You may receive complimentary tickets to events
  • You receive a 10% discount on purchases in our galleries
  • DAC proudly celebrates volunteers annually at an Appreciation event (typically occurring in December)

We look forward to your participation in the continual development of DAC as a vital arts, educational and cultural institution.  Please take a moment to check the list below that outlines current volunteer opportunities or you may have an idea of your own.
