We encourage visual artists to submit their ideas for three-hour in-person demonstrations. Please give some consideration to your demonstration needs ahead of time: One or two 6 foot tables and chairs are available for your use if you need them. You are responsible for bringing your own equipment, any signage (limited to 3 X 6 ft.) and a helper if needed, as well as examples of your work. You can set up your station 1 hour ahead of time, and will be fully responsible for cleaning up. Any damage incurred to the DAC or to the space you are using will be your responsibility to pay to repair or clean, so if you have paint, or any material that could get messy, please plan to cover the floors, walls, etc.

Please be prepared to make your demonstration interactive, engaging, and professional. Anticipate that the public will want to talk with you about your art, and will have questions about your process and your background as an artist. This is a wonderful opportunity to make professional connections.

The DAC is a 53 year old non profit organization and its mission is to bring artistic enrichment and high quality art and theater programs to the region. As a participating member of the LAP,  you are also representing the DAC and we ask that you behave in a creative, engaging and friendly manner.

Should any of the public have DAC related questions, you can direct them to a member of our staff.

Please pick three weeks (June through August), for scheduling your demonstration time slots. We will pick one week out of those three for you to have your live demonstrations.

Cancellation policy: Once your submission has been accepted and the dates are set for your gallery demonstrations, a 48 hours notice is required in the event that you cannot keep your demonstration appointment. We will try our best to accommodate you as well as honor the schedule that we will be presenting to the public, and will make every effort to fill the time slot with another artist.
