Join as a Member or Renew today!

The Durango Arts Center celebrates its members whose support provides the resources necessary to advance year-round programs rich with artistic merit.  An investment in the arts returns valuable tax revenues, supports local jobs, promotes tourism and enriches our community fabric.  We invite you to join or renew your membership today!

Annual membership dues are considered tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Membership starts at a modest $60 per year, for a single person, and offers a wealth of opportunity for engagement in and inspiration from the most dynamic visual and performing arts opportunities offered in our region.

While your membership has direct value for you, it is truly invaluable to us and priceless to the cultural vitality of our community.  The Durango Arts Center is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization that owns and operates its own building, inclusive of mortgage payments, insurance, repairs, and utilities.  Membership contributions are critical in maintaining our historic facility and providing modest salaries to a mostly part-time, highly skilled staff.  DAC is grateful to receive support through the generosity of its community members, foundation grants, Colorado Creative Industries, corporate sponsorships and a strategic business plan of earned revenue activities (e.g., admissions, workshop fees, artwork sales, facility rentals, etc).

DAC is pleased to accept donations electronically throughout the year via ColoradoGives. To join DAC as a member or renew your membership electronically, click the appropriate membership button below.

MEMBER DISPATCH

“My husband and I traveled to Santa Fe, NM specifically to see various exhibitions and collectively, we received $100 in FREE tickets thanks to the DAC membership benefit through the North American Reciprocal Network at the Georgia O’Keefe Museum, New Mexico History Museum/Palace of the Governors, Museum of International Folk Art, New Mexico Museum of Art, IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture.  On a recent trip to the Midwest, I visited the St. Louis Art Museum’s Degas, Impressionism, and the Paris Millinery Trade exhibit, and our DAC membership card gave a $10 discount on parking in the garage!  The list goes on…….. Last year, alone I saved over $200 in entry fees in various cities. I really appreciate this DAC membership benefit.”

Additional Ways to Invest in the Arts

The Durango Arts Center respects the privacy of its members and will not release personal contact information to any outside agency or individual.

DAC depends on a variety of income sources to successfully meet its annual operating budget, including membership, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants and individual donations. Please note that DAC maintains an informal membership program, whereby annual contributions allow individuals and businesses certain benefits associated with access to DAC programs and events. DAC does not offer a formal membership program that affords members access or voting rights on matters of governance.  The Board of Directors remains the governing body of the organization.
