A 3D PRODUCTION

A presentation of new works using digital and handmade techniques by Jay Dougan.

The Friends of the Art Library is excited to present a solo exhibition of work by Durango-based artist, Jay Dougan.

Jay Dougan is originally from Southwest Michigan, he attended Western Michigan University where he received his BFA in 1996. Jay went on to earn his MFA from the University of Notre Dame in 2002. Jay currently works at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, were he is an Associate Professor of Art.

His sculptures are inspired by natural forms and structures, the earth, and industrial objects. Mr. Dougan’s work has received awards in juried shows and exhibitions across the U.S. In 2011, Dougan received the Fort Lewis College New Faculty Teaching Award. Prior to joining Fort Lewis, Mr. Dougan was an instructor at the Herron School of Art and Design, Indiana University/Purdue University Indianapolis.
