The Durango Arts Center welcomes the gift of appreciated stock, one of the most effective means of tax savings available, with a direct benefit in support of the mission of the Durango Arts Center. 

The benefits of gifting appreciated stocks:

  1. The satisfaction of knowing your money is invested to advance quality visual and performing arts programming.

  2. In keeping with current IRS regulations, capital gains taxes on the stock are avoided.

  3. You will be eligible to receive an income tax charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the stock at the time of the gift.

The Durango Arts Center is an informal membership non-profit organization. Unless a contribution is specified as “restricted” by the donor and acknowledged in writing by the Durango Arts Center as such, DAC retains complete control over the use of donated funds in furtherance of its mission under the oversight of the DAC Governing Board.
