After School Arts at the Durango Arts Center offers 3rd – 5th-grade students an opportunity to expand their art-making experience by working with teaching artist and Education Director, Deena Carney. Every month, classes explore a new medium, artist, culture, or concept. The classes offer fun, non-competitive opportunities to explore new skills and individual expression.

Classes are held in the Durango Arts Center Gallery once a week with distanced groups of 10 students max. During the month of September students will be focusing on perspective drawing, optical illusions, pen and ink drawing, watercolor painting, and the Great Master of Art  – Salvador Dali.
